Quality Controller

Quality Controller

Department: Production Food

Responsible to: Factory manager or any other executive designated by management

Job Purpose

The key responsibilities and tasks will include the following

  • Support laboratory tasks associated with testing of raw material, in-process and finish products as well as ensuring that they meet specifications through quality control and participate in the preparation and implementation of Quality Management Systems.
  • Assist in trial and provide report about the pros and cons of the new raw materials received by taking in consideration the operators, technical and production comments.
  • Carry out incoming inspection on new batch of all raw mats as per PI requirements or any other standard set.
  • Ensure that all sanitation is being performed by the Operator as required at the specific ranges of concentration and time period before each and every production.
  • Take all the tests at a definite frequency on all stages of the process to ensure good quality of products are being delivered to the customers (Control of the whole process).
  • Ensure that all personnel and visitors on plants are adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ensure that HACCP/ISO are being observed at all stages of the production process
  • Remove all non-conform finished products and raw mats that do not meet the standards and do an NCR Report.
  • Carry out regular Audits (GMP) and work towards a Total Quality mind-set to maintain good results in all external audits.
  • Ensure that Apparatus Calibration is being carried out at definite frequency to maintain accuracy of in-house testing.
  • Clean lab on a regular basis and ensure destruction of all witness sample are done after the specific time period.
  • Perform other related duties.

Job Purpose

Your main duties, which should be delivered as per annexed work Instructions and PepsiCo International guidelines, include and not limited to the following:

  • Delivery of Company products
  • Manage Customers 
  • Manage your helpers
  • Manage Company properties entrusted to you

Work Instructions

The under mentioned work instructions are specific to your job, but are not exhaustive as they will evolve with market requirements. 

  •  Management of Company Properties
  • Make responsible use of and upkeep company equipment (e.g vehicle, handheld computers, printers, phones etc…) entrusted to you.
  • BEFORE USING A COMPANY VEHICLE :
  • Check visually and effectively licences & certificates which include Motor Vehicle License, B carriers’ licence, Fitness certificate and insurance certificate of vehicle
  • Check overall body condition for damages
  • Check for worn out, damaged or deflated tyres
  • Look out for any fluid dripping from vehicle (engine oil, fuel or coolant)
  • Check lights, flasher lamps, wipers, horn
  • Check fuel level in tank
  • Verify that loading is well secure
  • Truck should not be overloaded
  • Instructions to follow while driving on public roads
  • Drive vehicle safely. 
  • Keep the vehicle inside tidy.
  • In case of accident do not accept liability.
  • Report to Transport Department personnel who will give instructions.
  • Report forthwith to the Transport Department any case of breakdown.
  • Adhere strictly to Traffic regulations (Traffic Act). (No fine will be paid in case of voluntary non respect of traffic regulations)

 Job related Duties

Liaise with Channel Coordinator for issues related to customers and delivery of company products

  • Liaise with sales clerks for order instructions
  • Perform duties as instructed by Sales Supervisors and Superiors
  • Carry out physical check of loading on trucks
  • Monitor the work and conduct of truck helpers under your responsibility
  • Check whether any company vehicle entrusted to you is fit to run on the road
  • Any other cognate duties.

IMPORTANT: THE CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS A VALID DRIVING LICENCE FOR GOODS VEHICLE

Commercial traveller

Commercial traveller

Department:  Commercial 

Responsible to:  Distribution Manager or any other executive designated by management

The key responsibilities and tasks will include the following:

  1. Drives a vehicle of 5 tons or more.
  2. Responsible of the delivery vehicle and helpers
  3. To deliver LPG in cylinders and LPG related accessories to retail outlets and consumers.
  4. Ensure loading and unloading of products are done properly.
  5. Proper stacking of products in delivery vehicle.
  6. Ensure cleanliness of delivery vehicle.
  7. Reporting any security issues at customers’ premises pertaining to the delivery of LPG.
  8. To ensure proper rotation of LPG cylinders and accessories on the delivery vehicle.
  9. Proper handling of tablet.
  10. Collect payment from credit customers as and when required
  11. To keep good relations with clients and ensure regular visit to clients
  12. To follow respective routes
  13. Promote our products but should not denigrate our competitors’ products vis a vis our customers and consumers
  14. In time delivery of products
  15. To make direct sales if necessary
  16. To collect cash from client on delivery
  17. To ensure invoice are issued upon delivery
  18. Ensure that daily remittance tally with sales
  19. Ensure personal Hygiene and proper grooming.
  20. Ensure a proper and safe driving
  21. Abide to rules and regulations of the Company (Discipline)

Refrigeration Technician

Refrigeration Technician

Department:  Commercial 

Responsible To:  Chief Commercial Officer Or Any Other Executive Designated By Management 


Objective:

Carry out repair and maintenance work on refrigeration equipment of Quality Beverages Limited.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out repair and maintenance work on QBL water coolers and other QBL refrigeration equipment at and outside the factory. 
  2. Carry out repair and maintenance work on QBL water coolers and other QBL refrigeration equipment at outlets serviced by QBL whenever directed by the Chief Commercial Officer or other person delegated by the him.
  3. Report to the Chief Commercial Officer or other person delegated by the Chief Commercial Officer for daily schedule of duties and work in progress carried out on equipment at the factory and at customers place.
  4. Assist in moving coolers and other refrigeration equipment.
  5. Perform electrical connections for installation of refrigeration equipment.
  6. Clean and keep in a neat and tidy condition of workshop.
  7. Perform any other tasks and duties assigned by Chief Commercial Officer or other person delegated by the Chief Commercial Officer.

Factory Worker

The key responsibilities and tasks will include the following

  • Performance manual tasks on any shift involving physical effort such palletising, depalletising, loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, inspection, cleaning, and perform any other manual work in the production department.
  • Assist operators as per instructions of supervisors.
  • Ensure that the production program is followed as per instructions.
  • Assist technical team in following and applying all scheduled maintenance and repairs programs as and when required.
  • Be conversant with and apply all safety and quality system put in place by Management as improvement processes.
  • Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards.
  • Perform other related duties

Machine Operator

Objective:

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machines in the production plant

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. To perform manual tasks involving physical and mental skills to attend to and/or operate a machine as per instructions.
  2. Ensure production programme is followed as per instructions of supervisors.
  3. Ensure that machines are running in a proper condition by following carefully work instructions.
  4. Follow and apply all scheduled maintenance and repairs programmes by giving necessary assistance to technical team.
  5. Be conversant with and apply all safety and quality system put in place by Management as improvement processes.
  6. Any other cognate duties.

Machine Attendant

Objective:

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machines in the production plant

  1. Responsible for performing manual tasks within the production department.
  2. Perform manual tasks on any shift involving physical effort such as palletising, depalletising, loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, inspection, cleaning, and perform any other manual work in the production department.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sorting of bottles
  • Destruction of old bottles
  • Destruction of reject, expired, segregate and damaged products
    Transfer of bottles and crates.
  • Unloading of trucks and containers
  • Prepare products as required by Customer Representative before loading
  • Loading of trucks
  • Cleaning of Warehouse
  • Any cognate duties as instructed by Checkers and Warehouse Supervisor

Truck Helper

Truck Helper 

Department :  Commercial / Warehouse

Responsible to :  Warehouse & Logistics Manager or any other executive designated by management

Objective 

Responsible for the proper handling, carrying of beverage products and ensuring successful delivery services to customers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

Your main duties which should be delivered as per work instructions include, but are not limited, to the following:

  1. Ensuring total delivery service to customers.
  2. Managing company properties entrusted to delivery team.
  3. Assisting Driver as and when necessary
  4. Delivery Services to Customers which includes:
    4.1
    Carrying products from trucks to outlets or their storage space.
    4.2 Carrying damaged products from trucks to warehouse (QBL).
    4.3 Moving products within an outlet under the supervision of Delivery Driver.
    4.4  Moving products from one outlet to another under the supervision of salesmen.
    4.5 Assisting in the placement of coolers, racks and any other equipment.
  5. Manage company Properties which includes:
    5.1 
    Making responsible use of and upkeep company equipment entrusted to you.
    5.2 Keeping Company Truck clean according to Company policy and standards.
  6. Job related duties include:
    6.1
    Assisting driver whilst reversing and parking of vehicle.
    6.2 Sorting bottles in cases and on pallets/baskets before truck returns to factory.
